If you've scrolled past three or four separate "coming soon" posts about Mt. Juliet restaurants over the last year and felt like you were reading the same story on repeat, you weren't imagining it. Starbucks. Waffle House. A pasta shop expanding from Nashville. A sushi franchise finalizing its lease. Each one showed up as its own headline, its own little burst of excitement on a neighborhood Facebook group. Strung together, they tell a different story: almost none of this is spread across town. It's stacking up on the same short run of road near the train tracks, one intersection at a time.
Start at North Mt. Juliet Road and Division Street, where three separate commercial developments are filling in within sight of each other. Follow Lebanon Road two minutes east and you hit the rest of the list. That's it. That's most of what's new in Mt. Juliet right now.
One Intersection, Three Developments
Citi Station sits on the southeast corner of North Mt. Juliet Road and East Division, directly across from the city's train station. Club Pilates was the first tenant to open its doors there. Timberloft's Spud & Butter followed with a grand opening on April 10, a fast-casual spinoff of the original Timberloft that ran in Gordonsville from 1997 until it closed to make room for this new chapter, serving loaded baked potatoes and slow-smoked meats out of the Citi Station space. A Starbucks opened there in June. Jimmy John's has a signed lease for a spot in the same development, though the company hasn't said when it plans to open.
Walk across Division Street and you're at Everette Downs, where local franchisees Eric and Jennifer Covell, who have called Wilson County home for more than 12 years, signed on to bring a Rock N' Roll Sushi location, telling local reporters they wanted their first location to be the community where they raised their kids. The Mobile, Alabama-born chain has grown to more than 75 locations across the Southeast. As of earlier this year the Mt. Juliet address was still listed as opening "TBD," so it's worth checking before you plan a trip.
Keep walking along North Mt. Juliet Road near those same train tracks and you reach Charlie's Place, a commercial center where owner Judd Sellars has a Greek and Mediterranean concept called Tholos planned as one of its tenants. Three separate developers, three separate projects, all filling in around the same corner within the same year.
Follow The Road And The List Keeps Going
Lebanon Road runs east from that same intersection, and it's carrying its own wave of openings. Casa Mezcal Mexican Grill took over and fully renovated a former psychic-reading storefront at 11804 Lebanon Road. It's a family project: owners Martin Frias and Jessica Naranjo, who live in Mt. Juliet and also run Taqueria Sope Express in Nashville, built out a sit-down restaurant seating close to 100 guests with a patio planned for the front.
A few addresses down, Nicoletto's Pasta Co. is putting up its third location and its largest yet, a 3,000 square foot space at 11324 Lebanon Road that's targeting a fall 2026 opening. Brothers Ryan and Danny Nicoletto started the brand selling dried pasta at farmers markets before opening their first storefront in East Nashville, then a Donelson location in 2023. The Mt. Juliet build will add an espresso bar and an Italian specialty market alongside the fresh pasta bowls and sandwiches, and it's expected to bring 15 to 20 jobs to the area.
Waffle House is redeveloping a former do-it-yourself car wash at 12085 Lebanon Road, just east of Nonaville Road. As of this summer the company hadn't released a construction timeline or opening date. A short drive north on North Mt. Juliet Road, Andy's Frozen Custard quietly opened its walk-up and drive-thru location in late June and is holding a public grand opening celebration on September 30, with proceeds from that day going to local nonprofit True Rescue and the Mt. Juliet Help Center. Right around the corner, Dutch Bros Coffee is set to open its first Mt. Juliet location on September 18 at 101 Sunset Drive, just off North Mt. Juliet Road.
None of this happened in a vacuum. The Lebanon Road building wave got its opening when the landmark Stylemasters hair salon physically relocated to Nonaville Road, freeing up the land that several of these new restaurants now occupy.
What's Actually Open Right Now
Here's where things stand as of this month, since "coming soon" and "open" have gotten blurred together in a year with this much construction dust in the air.

That's eleven named projects, and every one of them sits on North Mt. Juliet Road, on Lebanon Road between Nonaville and North Mt. Juliet, or on Division Street where the two roads meet. If you've been noticing more orange cones than usual on your regular drive, this map is why.
Why Here Specifically
Part of the answer is simple geography. Citi Station's own developers pitched the location partly on its position across from the train station, the kind of built-in daily foot and car traffic that makes a small commercial pad worth building on. Part of it is timing. When a fixture like Stylemasters moves, the land underneath it doesn't sit empty in a market this active. And part of it is just proximity feeding proximity. Once Keke's Breakfast Café and a Chipotle went in on Lebanon Road, the corridor became a logical next stop for anyone looking at Wilson County, which is likely part of why Nicoletto's picked an address three doors down rather than starting fresh somewhere else in town.
